As we all know. English language is becoming more and more improtant.We are living in the digital age with the blooming information over the world, so as ambitious people, besides good knowledge of their major, English is effective tool which can help them get the success in career. In business, education, mass media and entertainment, most of information or research are published by English, so if we know English, We can get directly them from original documents without through other language, which can't express completely the meaning of authors. In addition, we can travel more countries and understand different culture and communication with local residents by English. It is easier and more convenient than before and also help to eliminate the language barriers and misunderstanding, make the person becomes closer and friendly.

Week 1 Reflection
After the first week, I found out E7 is challenging. I have to take note in listening exam, read two academic articles in reading exam and find out which points I can use for writing at the same time. About speaking exam, it is an oral presentation, I think this is my first time oral presentation in English. I felt so scare and not more confidence about them.
However, there are different teachers in everyday, so I think I could not gain enough information in week 1, which makes me feel nervous. For example, this week I learned the structure about critical article. I found out it is so different to the E6 essays that we studied. I need to write the authors’ view in my body paragraphs with correct sentences and ways. Furthermore, there is a key point in writing essay “A BELT”, that is argument, bias, evidence, logic, tone and language. I have to keep these points in my mind and use them carefully. I am so confused about this and I need spent more time to finished one paragragh. And I still could not do it very well. So in this week I still have to do many practices.
Another challenge is listening, when I do note taking in listening, it is hard to find out what kind of information is important, and I can not catch the key informatiom immidiately. In my opinion, It is my vocabulary problem, so in the next few weeks, I think I must do more practices as many as I can, and use the Vocab book. Furthermore, the most important thing is that using abbreviation while taking note.

Week 1 for Listening Strategy
When I studied at level 6, listening is my weakness, so I want improve listening firstly.
1. Practise

- Everyday do a listening exercise that take note and repeat it again and again. Firstly, try to catch the main idea. Secondly, try to take some key information. Thirdly, try to take every sentence.
- Use the ILC E-package, do more pracitces
- Watch news, films and TV programs from TV or computer, or listen radio and English music
- One of the problem of listening is Vocabulary. Try to learn as much as possible, making a own dictionary is good solution. Bring this dictionary everyday and try to use all new words in different situations.
- Whenever learn new words , I should learn about collocation of this words.
- Use my own vocab book to record every new word from you course.
- Read newspapers and famous people's blog that try to study how to use the new words
